Along caravan routes, rose geranium was hung in travelling bedrooms to protect the heart from homesickness and heavy company. Hawthorn, long used by healers of Europe, was steeped to strengthen the heart’s rhythm - not just physically, but emotionally.

This essence was given to those who loved too hard, gave too much, or absorbed the moods of others. It does not help you close off - it helps you stay open without being taken.

Ingredients (120 ml)

Botanicals
✶ 1 tbsp dried rose geranium leaves/flowers
✶ 1 tsp dried hawthorn berries (lightly crushed)
✶ Optional: a small rose petal pinch (for harmony)

Alcohol Base
✶ 150 ml grape eau-de-vie
clean, steady, supports the heart without heaviness

Non-Alcohol Base
✶ 120 ml rose hydrosol or raw apple cider vinegar
✶ ½-1 tsp raw honey

Gentle for emotional use or daily heart protection

The Preparation

Lightly crush hawthorn berries - just enough to open their scent.
Combine berries, geranium, and rose (if used) in a clean jar.
Cover fully with chosen base.
Wrap in cloth and store it somewhere you keep sentimental objects or letters.
Steep 21-30 days, shaking lightly every few days.
Strain into a dark bottle.

Add honey after straining in non-alcohol version.

How to Use

For emotional over-giving, energetic overwhelm, heartbreak reactivity, sensitivities, or relationships that leave you drained.

2-3 drops under tongue
Rub 1 drop over heart centre
Add 2-3 drops to rose tea or warm water
Place 1 drop on wrists before socialising
Use 2 drops in bath for emotional boundaries
