The Story
Beyond the old caravan roads, colours were carried across mountains, deserts and villages - woven into pieces that held memories of the journey.
La Porte Rose du Désert is a vintage Boujad rug from Morocco, with a sun-washed rose field, turquoise pathways and vibrant symbols woven in shades of magenta, violet and earth.
The central diamond forms a doorway - a traditional Amazigh symbol often associated with protection, home and passage - surrounded by smaller motifs that feel like fragments collected along a travelled road.
Handwoven from wool, its irregular lines and softened colours tell the story of the artisan behind it: no two shapes identical, no machine perfection, only the beauty of human hands.
A doorway between places.
A memory of the Atlas.
A piece of the caravan.
