The Traveller’s Crossroads

There are days when direction is unclear. A road splits. A decision waits.
The body hesitates, and the mind becomes a crowded alleyway of thoughts.
This tincture was made for those moments -

when a traveller stands between choices, unsure which path will honour their spirit, their safety, or their purpose.

Not a push, not an answer - but clarity. A mind cleared of fog, so the heart can choose honestly.

The Caravan Oracle Tincture

Clarity • Discernment • Intuitive Focus

Old-World Origin

Across ancient caravan routes, choices determined survival: Which market to trust. Which border to cross.
Which inn was safe, which companion reliable. Healers often made clarity elixirs with bitter, aromatic herbs -
Sage for wisdom, Rosemary for mental sharpness, Bay leaf for discernment,
Myrtle for truthful intuition. These infusions were sipped before negotiations, trade, navigation,

and spiritual rituals. A clear mind was not luxury - it was protection.

Ingredients (120 ml)

Clarity Herbs
✶ 1 tsp dried rosemary
✶ 1 tsp dried sage
✶ ½ tsp dried bay leaf (crumbled)
✶ ½ tsp dried myrtle leaves
✶ Thin peel of ¼ lemon (for focus)

Alcohol Base
✶ 150 ml dry French Vermouth
-or-
✶ 150 ml herbal grappa or botanical eau-de-vie

Non-Alcoholic Base
✶ Raw apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
✶ ½ tsp lemon honey (optional)

Note: If myrtle is unavailable, replace with mugwort (very small pinch) for intuitive clarity.

The Preparation

Break bay leaf gently. Add rosemary, sage, myrtle (or mugwort), and lemon peel into a clean glass jar.

Pour vermouth (or vinegar mix) until fully submerged. Seal and wrap the jar in plain cloth or parchment -

travellers believed clarity must remain unadorned, without emotional colours influencing it.

Steep for 21 days only (clarity herbs should not become overly bitter). Shake gently every 2-3 days.
Strain, bottle in amber glass, and mark with a single directional line or compass symbol.

How to Use

✶ 1-3 drops under tongue before decisions
✶ 3 drops in cool water before conversations or negotiations
✶ 1-2 drops during journaling or map planning
✶ 3 drops rubbed between palms and inhaled for instant clarity

Symbolism

✶ Rosemary - sharp memory, alert perception
✶ Sage - wise discernment, grounded choices
✶ Bay Leaf - truthful insight, instinctive decision-making
✶ Myrtle - spiritual honesty, clear intuition
✶ Lemon - bright focus, mental cutting of confusion
✶ Vermouth - ancient infused wine for the mind, used by traders and apothecaries

Intention

"May my thoughts become simple, my intuition become loud, and my decisions become true."

Author’s Note

This tincture was born out of indecision - a reminder that the road becomes clearer not

when we force answers, but when we quiet the

noise around them.It has guided my steps more than once.
